When you first hear the term “Creative Leadership,” what comes to mind?

When you first hear the term “Creative Leadership,” it sounds pretty cool. Especially if you’re working in creative industries, you immediately connect with the “creative” part. But what does it indeed mean?

After completing my EMBA in Creative Leadership a few years ago, I wondered how I’d answer if someone asked me, “Akin, what does Creative Leadership mean for you?” Of course, one could explain when the term was first used, the research behind it, and how it ties into cooperative leadership for developing innovative ideas. But that wouldn’t fully capture its essence. A more personal, meaningful explanation was needed.

I eventually found my answer, but I was curious to learn how other Creative Leadership practitioners see it. So, I asked current EMBA participants in Creative Leadership, “What is Creative Leadership for you?”
