From Innovation to Execution: A Recap of Our Hasso Plattner Institute Workshop

Turning an innovative idea into a structured business model is no small feat. It’s a process filled with strategic questions, obstacles, and crucial decisions that can determine the success or failure of a venture. To help navigate this transformation, Martin Talmeier and I designed a powerful two-day intensive hybrid workshop at the Hasso Plattner Institute, in collaboration with the Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Berlin.

Collaboration and Expert Insights

A highlight of the workshop was the collaborative approach. Our co-coach, Sascha Wechsung, brought invaluable expertise to the discussions, enriching the experience for all participants. Through case studies, interactive discussions, and hands-on exercises, we enabled participants to refine their business models with real-world applications.

Breaking Down the Business Model Journey

The workshop, held on June 15th and 16th, was designed to guide participants through the complexities of turning a spark of innovation into a concrete, executable action plan. Over two immersive days, we tackled essential topics such as:

  • Structuring a sustainable business model: Evaluating revenue streams, scalability, and competitive positioning
  • Overcoming obstacles in execution: Addressing potential challenges and strategic risk mitigation
